DAVIDSON, N.C. – On the heels of their first Atlantic 10 postseason victory and the most wins in a season since 2018, the Davidson College men’s soccer team has announced their 2024 schedule. The upcoming slate features twenty contests in total, three exhibitions, nine non-conference matches, and eight A-10 games.

Mike Babst‘s squad will start things off with three tune-up games:

  • Wake Forest (Aug. 11) at home followed
  • @ Presbyterian (Aug. 14)
  • @ Wofford (Aug. 17)

The regular season begins with a cross-town rivalry game that was revived last year when the ‘Cats head to Charlotte on August 23 at 7:00 p.m. They then travel to High Point on August 27 before returning home for six of their next seven games.

Davidson has the following home games before opening A-10 play on the road at Saint Joseph’s on September 21.

  • Campbell (Sept. 2)
  • UNC Greensboro (Sept. 6)
  • Furman (Sept. 11)
  • UNC Asheville (Sept. 14), and
  • Mercer (Sept. 17)

Their first conference home game will come on September 28 when La Salle heads into Alumni Stadium. The Wildcats then travel to St. Bonaventure to begin the month of October before a two-game home stand against VCU (Oct. 9) and UMass (Oct. 12).

In the following midweek, the ‘Cats will head to Blacksburg to once again face Virginia Tech on October 15. They will then venture to Pittsburg for a rematch of last year’s A-10 quarterfinal against Duquesne on October 19.

Davidson wraps up non-conference play with a home match against Johnson & Wales on October 22 before they play their final home game four days later. The ‘Cats will host Dayton, the defending A-10 Champions, in the final regular season game at Alumni Stadium on October 26.

The regular season will conclude with a road trip to Rhode Island on November 2.

Atlantic 10 postseason play will begin the following week on November 8 or 9.
