Davidson Police Department Hosts Summertime Storytime Events July 10 and July 31 at 1:30 p.m.
The Town of Davidson Police Department invites the community to the Town Green for Summertime Storytime events on Wednesday, July 10 and Wednesday, July 31. The event will kick off at 1:30 p.m. from the steps of the Davidson Public Library (119 N. Main Street) with music from musical guest, Jamie Hofmeister-Cline from Music Together of Charlotte. Whit’s Frozen Custard of Davidson will be on-site serving cold treats to those who attend.
This year, Summertime Storytime welcomes two authors, Ashley Belote and Eden Estabrook who will each read from their books. Wednesday, July 10, Ashley will read Listen Up, Louella, and Don’t Wash Winston and on Wednesday, July 31, Eden will read Arnie the Armadillo Goes to Antarctica.
Storytime attendees will be able to purchase copies of the books from local favorite Main Street Books and have them autographed by each author, as well as participate in author Q & As on both July 10 and July 31, 2024.
“This is a great opportunity to have some fun, listen to a story, and interact with local Davidson Police Officers,” stated Davidson Community Engagement Officer Mike Prather. “We’re thrilled to have both of the authors reading their own books this year!”
In case of inclement weather, the Summer Storytime events will move to the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center Auditorium at 251 South Street on the main level.
