The award-winning playwright of Rabbit Hole returns to his comic roots with Ripcord, an endlessly surprising tale of two unlikely roommates in a senior living facility who engage in an epic series of pranks. As each tries to outwit the other, we begin to observe a moving portrait of two women with as much to reconcile on the inside as the outside. Shifting between the comfy confines of their room and increasingly wild, theatrical settings (Haunted houses! Skydiving!), Ripcord asks us when we should slow down, take a deep breath, and open our parachutes. Performances continue through July 28.

Been reading any manga or watching any anime lately? Come share with us what you’re reading and watching! We’re not a regular book club. We’re an “UnBook Club!” What’s an Unbook Club, you ask? We don’t all agree to read the same things. (After all, some like shojo more than shonen, or like the mecha genre more than the magical girls type. Some might even like both!) Here we all take turns sharing what we’re currently reading, give and ask for recommendations, and share our love of manga! We play games, watch anime, make crafts, and hang out. Join us every last Thursday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the community room.
