Tennis Teams Earn ITA Team and Scholar-Athlete Recognition
DAVIDSON, N.C. – 16 Wildcats received individual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete Recognition while both teams were garnered All-Academic Team Honors. Eight women and eight men each earned the individual honor.
In order to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, recipients must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the 2023-24 academic year.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above. Both the women’s and men’s teams accomplished these criteria.
The women’s team compiled a 13-10 overall record and 3-3 mark in Atlantic 10 competition while making it to the semi-final round of the A-10 Tournament.
The men’s squad rounded out the season with an 8-13 record while picking up wins over conference opponents St. Bonaventure and Duquesne.
