Town Now Accepting Applications for North Meck Holiday Parade and Christmas in Davidson
DAVIDSON, NC – Applications to participate as a vendor at the 2024 Christmas in Davidson or to participate in the 42nd Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade are being accepted as of Thursday, August 1, 2024. Additional details on how to apply for each are included below and can also be found on the Town’s official website.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating Christmas in Davidson for the thirty-seventh year,” said Economic Development Director Kim Fleming. “We are proud to sponsor what has become one of Davidson’s signature events!”
Christmas in Davidson will take place nightly from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5; Friday, December 6; and Saturday, December 7, 2024.
The 42nd Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The parade route is approximately 2 miles long and follows Main Street (Hwy. 115) from the Town of Davidson over the Antiquity Bridge and ending at the intersection of North Main Street and Catawba Ave in the Town of Cornelius.
CHRISTMAS IN DAVIDSON 2024 VENDOR APPLICATIONS
To participate in the 2024 Christmas In Davidson as a food vendor, artisan vendor or to provide official entertainment application(s) are required. Deadlines for each type of application are as follows:
1. All applications are available online and available for download and print on the official Christmas in Davidson website: www.townofdavidson.org/
2. All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on October 1, 2024.
3. All applicants will be notified of your acceptance via email by 5:00 p.m. on October 15, 2024.
4. All accepted applicants will be notified of their event location and participation information via email by 5:00 p.m. on November 1, 2024.
FOOD VENDORS:
1. Placement in any location at the event is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the event producers.
2. All Food Vendors must be self-contained.
3. All Food Vendors must be permitted by the county health department.
4. All Food Vendors must provide all items needed for their own set-up.
5. Electricity is NOT provided. However, electricity can be provided for an additional fee.
6. Food vendor applications are for all three nights of the event from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
ARTISAN VENDORS:
1. Placement in any location is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the event producers.
2. All accepted Artisans will be required to provide your own white tent along with your own tables & chairs.
3. All tents must be white and meet all local fire code restrictions.
4. Electricity is NOT provided. However, electricity can be provided for an additional fee. Electricity must be ordered and paid for at the time of application. Requests for electricity after application has been submitted will not be accepted. 5. Food vendor applications are for all three nights of the event from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
ENTERTAINMENT AND PERFORMERS:
1. All applicants are responsible for providing your own instruments, music stands, pre-recorded tracks and other items needed for your performance.
2. The event provides professional sound & lighting production (including all microphones).
3. There is no fee to perform, and performers will not receive compensation for their participation.
4. Please select the dates that you are available to perform. You will be assigned a date and time based on your availability.
5. There are 2 performance stages. You will be assigned to one based on your availability.
6. Placement on a preferred stage and time is not guaranteed and is at the sole discretion of the event producers.

42nd ANNUAL NORTH MECKLENBURG HOLIDAY PARADE APPLICATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS
In order to participate in the Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade, you must apply to the Town of Davidson Parks & Recreation Department. Entry to the parade is limited to the first 100 applicants.
PARADE PARTICIPANTS:

Applications are now available online. Please be sure to type in ‘Parade’ for the event to populate. A confirmation email will be sent within 48 business hours of submission. If you do not receive a confirmation after 48 hours has lapsed since your submission, you may email the Davidson Parks & Recreation department at [email protected] to inquire about the status of your application.

Those who wish to become a sponsor of the Annual North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade should contact the Davidson Parks and Recreation Department directly by emailing DPR@townofdavidson.
