Winning Design for DLC’s Run For Green Shirt
DRUM ROLL….announcing our new RUN FOR GREEN t-shirt design! After we received many fantastic entries we are excited to show off our 2024 RFG t-shirt logo.
This great looking design was created by Davidson resident, Lisa Venancio. Check it out and sign-up to run or volunteer today at www.runforgreen.com to get one of these fantastic shirts that are being printed locally by @davproco. Read below to learn more about Lisa.
My name is Lisa Venancio, I grew up in Charlotte, graduating from Myers Park High School. I feel so lucky to now call Davidson home, I have lived here for 6 years. Among the many things I love about Davidson is the history and the charm of downtown. My favorite part is Davidson’s connection to nature. You may recognize my dogs Luna and Cori as we are dedicated walkers and we love the greenways and the trails. When the weather is not so hot, we average about 4 miles a day.
When I saw the Facebook post announcing the shirt design contest, I could literally visualize the design in my head. I used to be a very serious runner and my oldest son ran track and cross country for UNCW, so we have had our share of race shirts. I wanted the design to be something I would love to wear and also spoke to my love of Davidson…my long walks with the dogs and nature.
I’m excited to be part of the Run for Green and the Davidson Lands Conservancy to help keep our sweet little town beautiful and green!
