The Town of Davidson announces a new all-day Ramble On Music Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This event is of no cost to the public and will take place at 405 S. Main St. Davidson, NC from noon until 10:00 p.m. 

Performing artists from around the country will converge on a vacant 2.5-acre lot in downtown Davidson, the former site of a carwash, for the first-ever Ramble On Music Festival. The festival, which is of no cost to the public, marks a partnership between the Town of Davidson and the newly formed, Davidson-based music business, Downriver Records. In addition to six main stage music performances, the Ramble On festival will feature local food and beverage vendors, an interactive art station, and an artists’ market for local arts and crafts makers.

“We wanted to build a line-up that is both cohesive and diverse,” says Downriver Records founder Tim Helfrich. “We have artists from diverse geographies, covering a wide variety of American music traditions. The thing that makes this lineup cohesive, to me, is the spirit and on-stage energy of the various groups scheduled to perform. These are all folks who totally ‘bring it’ in a live setting. We also targeted artists who are collaborative in nature, so attendees can look forward to seeing these groups interact on stage throughout the day.”

To Helfrich’s point, the final hour of the festival will culminate with a set from Ramble On All-Stars. As the name suggests, this set will feature members from every festival band for a collaborative jam session that is sure to punctuate a day filled with fantastic original music.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to offer an all-day event at this unique location on South Main Street in Davidson. We hope that our neighbors as well as visitors will stop by to enjoy the music, food, and shops in this part of Town.” said Kim Fleming, Economic Development Director for the Town of Davidson.
