Volunteer opportunities at The Ada Jenkins Center
Say “goodbye” to extreme temperatures and high humidity and say “hello” to a few opportunities to serve your community through the Ada Jenkins Center!
Take a look at our current opportunities and needs below. Feel free to respond as directed to each opportunity or reply to this email if you have any questions. 
1. Greeters Needed Daily- Smiling/Welcoming faces welcome! September through May, our front door gets very busy. So much so, that our receptionist struggles to direct volunteers, answer phones and assist clients! So, we have a new volunteer opportunity is available daily, Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 5pm to assist with greeting/answering our door- primarily assisting LEARN Works volunteers with signing in and directing them to the education building. 2. Our LEARN Works program still has a few openings for our upcoming program year beginning in September! Click the link below to complete an application. (ages 16+, please)
- LEARN Works Afterschool Volunteers: Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025
3. We are in need of some kitchen, event and school supplies! Please check the following lists if you’d like to hold a drive or purchase any of these much-needed items!
4. We are weeks away from the Lake Davidson Triathlon, an event benefitting the Ada Jenkins Center. Volunteers are still needed. If you’re interested in volunteering for this event, please click here!
Lastly, did you hear about the High School Student that raised over $500 for AJC with a one-day car wash? Amazing, right!?! If you have an idea or would like to speak about hosting your own “Friend of Ada” event and impact your community, send an email here!
