Davidson Police Department Seeking Assistance from the Community: Need to Identify Suspects Responsible for Residential Burglary
The Davidson Police Department is investigating a residential burglary in the area of 18000 Woodland Trails Drive. On Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Davidson Police officers were dispatched to a residential alarm. Officers arrived within 7 minutes of being dispatched. Upon arrival at the address, it was determined that forced entry had been made into the residence. The home was equipped with a monitored alarm system and camera coverage. The security camera recorded two individuals leaving the rear of the residence. Both subjects were wearing hooded sweatshirts and one subject was carrying a backpack. The homeowners were not present at the time of the residential break-in.
Cornelius Police and Huntersville Police, along with their K-9 team, responded to assist the Davidson Police with a search of the area to identify a direction of travel and the location of a possible suspect vehicle. There is no indication the two suspects remained in the area. An investigator from the Davidson Police Department is processing the crime scene.
The Davidson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation if anyone saw a suspicious vehicle or suspicious persons in the area of Woodlands Trail Drive, Mayes Road, or Laurel Oak Cres.
