Watercraft Rentals

Lake Davidson Nature Preserve – 750 Jetton Street

Come enjoy Lake Davidson on the watercraft of your choice: single or double kayak, paddle board or canoe! Meet our staff to rent your watercraft at the Nature Preserve behind Davidson Day School on Jetton Street and have fun on a self-guided paddling adventure. Watercraft will be available on Saturdays from 2- 5 p.m. Register to reserve your watercraft of choice. Please arrive between 2 and 2:30 p.m. and boats must be ported by 5 p.m.

Sign up for a 1-hour individual session with a library staff member to get tech help with computer basics, job help assistance, Microsoft Office, Internet, email, or other topics. This in-person program will take place indoors at the Davidson library.

 

Davidson Branch Library: Teen and Preteen Board Game Night

Dive into the world of tabletop gaming with a variety of board games suitable for preteens and teens at Davidson. Participating in board games encourage cooperation, problem solving, letter and word recognition, and critical thinking skills. This drop-in program will be provided by Davidson’s teen services staff member and is recommended for ages 9-18. A variety of board games and puzzles will be available to use during the program. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided. You’re encouraged to bring your friends!

Join us in experiencing Anna Deavere Smith, a MacArthur Genius Award-winning, Pulitzer Prize and Tony-nominated writer and actress, who pioneered new forms of social justice theater. A lecture, followed by a moderated conversation with Dr. James Webb, in the Duke Family Performance Hall at Davidson College.
