World Scholars: Nine Davidson College Alums Named Fulbrighters

Their many interests range from creating art to leading outdoor adventures to performing standup comedy for an improv troupe. They’ve conducted research, been advocates for the less fortunate and earned high grades at Davidson College. Their plans range from law and politics to medical school to combatting climate change.
In the meantime, these nine recent Davidson graduates have been selected to participate in the 2024-2025 Fulbright U.S. Student Program. They’ve been offered English Teaching Assistantships and grants for graduate study in four countries. Three other recent graduates were named as alternates.
Four will be heading to Spain; three to Taiwan, one to Guatemala, and one to Andorra.
Davidson has long been one of the Top Producers for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The Fulbright Program began in 1946, offering opportunities to more than 400,000 students, scholars, teachers, artists and other professionals to research, study, and teach abroad. Alumni of the Fulbright Program include Nobel Laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners, MacArthur Fellows and leaders in government, non-profits and the private sectors.
