Rafiq Nabali, Let the Church Say (USA, 2022, 1h10)
A young, African American filmmaker, journeys to the heart of the Black experience to find the answer to a daunting question: Is the Black church dead?
The film provides a unique voice and presentation to the discussion of modern-day social justice and the role the Black church has and continues to play in communities across America.
Review:
“One of the things I like about the movie is its multi-generational approach and inclusivity in discussing social justice and how the Black church has historically been involved. This film is for everyone of all ages- those who lived through or heard of the civil rights movement, or who attend or heard of the black church, or has an interest or influence in social justice.”
