New Historic District Signage Installed
DAVIDSON, NC – Residents and visitors in Downtown Davidson will begin to see the installation of new Davidson Historic District street signs. This initiative is part of a comprehensive wayfinding signage package designed to enhance navigation and community identity within Davidson’s Historic District and an action item as directed by the Historic Preservation Plan adopted by the Board of Commissioners in January 2023.
The Town of Davidson, in collaboration with Bizzell Designs, is set to upgrade existing wayfinding signs throughout the town. These enhancements will assist visitors in locating parking and other key amenities, while new signs will provide clear directions to parks, commercial destinations, and other points of interest.
“The Town of Davidson is excited to bring these improvements to the community and looks forward to the positive impact the new signage will have on the overall experience of navigating in town,” said Economic Development Director Kim Fleming.
Over the next year, the updated and new signage will be strategically placed to improve the overall flow of movement within Davidson, making it easier to explore the area. This initiative not only aims to streamline navigation but also to elevate Davidson’s recognition as a Historic District.
