Renowned Violinist Ilmar Gavilán To Give Pre-Film Q&A, Performance at Los Hermanos Screening October 4

WDAV Classical Public Radio and Cine Casual are delighted to announce that Ilmar Gavilán (pictured), one of the two classical musician brothers featured in the award-winning documentary Los Hermanos, will be a special guest at our screening of the film Friday, October 4 on the Davidson Town Green. Gavilán will join WDAV General Manager Frank Dominguez for a pre-film Q&A and live solo performance during the pre-screening program (7:30 PM, screening begins at 8:15 PM). A native of Havana, Cuba, Gavilán is a founding member of the GRAMMY Award-winning Harlem Quartet and has built a remarkable career as a performer, educator, and recording artist. Read more about Gavilán at his official website.
