Davidson Voters’ 2024 Sample Ballot
Davidson voters will be able to start voting early, in person, on October 17 at the Town Hall and Community Center. Early voting continues through November 2. Election Day is November 5. A full list of dates and details can be found in a separate News of Davidson article.
Elections range from the Presidential contest to the Mecklenburg County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor. The final item on the ballot is a state-wide referendum.
If you vote in person during early voting or on election day, you will use a voting machine. And while Mecklenburg County voters have been using machines for quite some time, new machines were introduced in 2022. These new machines allow voters to use a touch screen to register their selections, AND they print out the voter’s selections on a hard copy ballot. Voters can, and should, review the ballots before placing it in the machine to be tabulated.
The machines are known as ES&S (Election Systems and Software) Express Vote. A video showing how to use the machines can be found here.
Most importantly, there will be Mecklenburg County election workers on site to assist you throughout the entire process.
