The annual Town of Davidson Halloween March is always a favorite event for kids of all ages.

This year’s Halloweekend festivities begin on Friday, October 25, with trick-or-treating down Main Street for the annual Halloween March. Line up is at 5:00 p.m. in front of the Davidson Public Safety Building horseshoe at 216 S. Main Street.

Back by popular demand, the Jack-O-Lantern Walk will return this year at Roosevelt Wilson Park! Community members are encouraged to bring their carved pumpkins to Roosevelt Wilson Park between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26 to have them included in the 2024 Jack-O-Lantern Walk.  There is no cost to participate! Jack-o-lanterns will be on display Saturday, October 26 through Sunday, October 27. 

On Sunday, November 3, the second annual Pumpkin Smash & Shoot event will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Fisher Farm Archery Range. All jack-o-lantern walk entries, in addition to any pumpkins donated by the community, will be brought to the event and will be composted – post smash!

If you are not able to make the Pumpkin Smash & Shoot, residents are encouraged to drop off their post Halloween pumpkins at the Town Hall & Community Center between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. from Monday, October 28 until Friday, November 1, to be composted after the event rather than having them end up in a landfill.
