Sound of the Carolinas Opens its Inaugural Season
Sound of the Carolinas is a new non-profit orchestra in the area and is having its first concert on October 26 at Davidson United Methodist Church.
The orchestra’s very first rehearsal was in September. They currently have around 28 musicians and are led by the highly accomplished Dr. Tara Keith. Dr. Keith is the professor of music and director of the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra. Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the high level of performance and commitment that defines the ensemble.
Dr. Keith and the orchestra are “super excited” to invite the community to this inaugural concert and hope that citizens will come and enjoy their selection of music. They would also like to recruit more members. Visit the website for more information. And don’t forget the concert on October 26.
