MONTERREY, Mexico – In addition to Will Davis recording his second straight third-place finish, Davidson’s Joshua Stewart also concluded the fall with another impressive showing, coming home tied for 10th at the 2024 Monterrey Collegiate Classic hosted by George Washington.

The two-day event was played on the Par 71, 7,141-yard Club Campestre Monterrey layout.

Unlike most collegiate events, the 10 participating teams played 27 continuous holes both Friday and Saturday instead of 36 and 18, respectively.

Along with the host Revolutionaries, the field included the following teams, Creighton, Davidson, Loyola (Md.), North Dakota State, Richmond, Seattle, Tarleton State, Utah State, UTRGV, Valparaiso and VCU.

Davis (66-69-67 = 202 | -11) and Stewart (69-70-67 = 206 | -7) combined for four Top-5 finishes and five Top-10s this fall. Fellow Wildcat Davis Sayman also signed for a sub-par round Saturday afternoon to climb 11 spots up the leaderboard.

Davidson (-4) also finished the four-tournament slate on a positive note, firing a team score of 8-under 276 in the final round.

Behind a final round total of 10-under 274, North Dakota State took the team title at 26-under.

Juan Luis Bethencourt (-13) of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley led wire-to-wire claiming individual medalist by one shot over Richmond’s Cole Ekert (-12)
