BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Davidson College men’s soccer team scored twice in the second half, erasing back-to-back deficits, to earn a 2-2 draw against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday night. Noah Louzan and Myles Culley netted goals for the Wildcats.

Virginia Tech was first to strike and did so in less than 10 minutes to take an early 1-0 lead. That score remained for the rest of the first half.

Davidson cranked it up in the final 45, and it didn’t take long before the ‘Cats equalized. Just a minute into second-half action, Noah Louzan connected on a strike off an assist from Ben Minikel-Lacocque to tie the score at 1-1. It was his first of the season.

In the 66th minute, the Hokies moved ahead on a fast-developing play to go back in front, but the ‘Cats continued to press.

With less than 10 minutes to play, the Wildcats sent a ball towards the frame, forcing the Hokies’ keeper to punch the ball outwards. Transfer sophomore Myles Culley came sprinting in and rifled a shot through the box and into the net to tie the game. It was his second of the season.

Goalkeeper Lucas Beltran made six saves including three key stops in the second half.
