A Very Merry Main Street Books
“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”
―Buddy the Elf
Dear Reader,
If you’ve visited Main Street Books as of late, you’ve likely noticed holiday cheer exploding from every nook and cranny in the store. Paddington stuffies and Paddington’s Christmas Post —got them! Literary trope candles, holiday romances, and stocking stuffers—we’ve got these, too! And don’t get us started on the Countdown to Grinchmas scratch-off calendars. The holiday window display goes in this weekend!
We are READY for a busy holiday season in our little book shop in downtown Davidson. The fun begins with Plaid Friday on November 29th. The 2024 Main Street Books ornament will debut! We’re also launching a deluxe line of Blind Dates with a Book.
On Small Business Saturday, the first five customers will receive a free gift, and those who spend $100 will get a free tote bag.
We will kick off December with our annual Twelve Days of December. retrospective.
We’ve captured the spirit of 2024 with books, from bestsellers to important moments. We’ve got twelve days of book lists.
Each day we’ll send a short list of stellar books right to your inbox as we build excitement for the end of the year and reflect on the books that have moved, entertained, engaged, and delighted our community.
Speaking of stellar, we want to take a moment to say THANKS to you, our stellar customers. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support throughout the year.
Whether you’ve replied to the newsletter like a digital pen pal, attended an author event, searched for Waldo, dropped off hurricane relief donations, joined one of our book clubs, bought a book because a bookseller recommended it, ordered a book from our website because you heard it on NPR, sent your kid in alone with your credit card, or helped your kid spend a gift card . . .
. . . we are so grateful. Bookstores are important. Thank you for stewarding our community bookstore with us.
With gratitude,
The Main Street Books Team
