Mary K ( also known as Kakai and Mary) had a strong commitment to public service, volunteering at the Lancaster public library as well as the Fairfield Medical Center in Ohio for more than 20 years. When she moved to Davidson in 2002, her lifelong love of cats led her to volunteering at the Humane Society and Cats of Davidson.
