Sneak Peak at Davidson Community Players’ Proposal for the Armour Street Theatre

There was quite a crowd at the Tuesday night Town Board meeting. Initially, the standing-room-online audience included a number of members of the Davidson Police Department since several of their colleagues were promoted at the outset of the meeting.
Even after the departure of those in blue, the room was still full. It soon became abundantly clear that the majority of people were there to support Steve Kaliski and the Davidson Community Players (DCP).
Kaliski, the executive director of DCP, presented an overview of a plan to renovate and expand the Armour Street Theatre. The town-owned facility is leased to DCP through 2028, and it serves as the primary programming space for Davidson’s 60-year old community theatre company.
