DLC Stream Walk and Clean Up

DLC's inaugural speaker series event is Friday night.
Only a few spaces left for our stream walk and clean-up this weekend! Sign-up now.
Please join the amazing Gordon Clark to discover the beauty of the South Prong of the Rocky River that runs behind the Westbranch community and help us clean it up as we enjoy its peaceful grace. We will walk the stream bed and collect trash. Last year we followed a beautiful heron that led us down the stream. There will be fallen logs that you will need to climb over so a moderate level of mobility is required.
Water levels can get between 24-36 inches at times so please dress appropriately including proper footwear. The best shoes to wear for this type of activity are closed-toe water shoes (meaning shoes in the style of a running shoe). If you don't have water shoes like this, please wear old sneakers that can get wet. If you wear things like Chacos and Tevas, please keep in mind they trap sand and debris under your foot.
Things like rain boots are also inadequate as they fill with water. If you have questions, please contact carly@davidsonlands.org.
This event is guaranteed to fill-up quickly so reserve your space today. Please also bring your own water. Sign-up is required https://www.signupgenius.com/
By signing-up you are agreeing to our waiver which can be found on the sign-up.
