Introducing the Davidson Farmers Market Cookbook

by Press Release | Sep 18, 2025

Dear Davidson Farmers Market Friends,

We are thrilled to share exciting news – this November, we will publish The Davidson Farmers Market Cookbook: A Tribute to the Farmers Who Feed Us and the Town That Sustains Us.

This project has been years in the making and is the result of incredible collaboration – vendors, volunteers, local creatives and neighbors all coming together to create something lasting. Inside you’ll find:

  • 175+ recipes generously shared by our community

  • Profiles of the farmers and makers who bring food to our tables

  • Incredible contributions from local creatives Brooke Basinger (illustration + design), Blake Pope (photography), Seth Snider (photography) and John Syme (storytelling)

This cookbook is more than pages of recipes – it’s a celebration of the relationships, stories and flavors that sustain the Davidson Farmers Market, and our special community. By purchasing a copy, you’re not only bringing a piece of our market into your kitchen, you’re also supporting our mission to strengthen local farms and build a resilient, sustainable food system for the future.

How to Join the Celebration

  • Preorder Today: Reserve your copy now through our partner Main Street Books

  • Bulk Orders: If you order 5 or more books, you can use code DFM5 for a bulk discount. If you’re interested in purchasing 50+ books, please reply to this email or complete our Bulk Order Request form.

Please note: We anticipate books arriving in late November and hope to have them available for pickup beginning Saturday, November 29.

From the first idea to the final pages, this book has been shaped by the generosity and spirit of our community. We are deeply grateful for every hand and heart that helped bring it to life, and we couldn’t be prouder to finally share it with you.

Thank you for supporting the Davidson Farmers Market.

With gratitude,

Ashley Neff, Brooke Basinger, Caitlin James, Courtney Spear, Heather Duke, Patti Altshuler and Whitney Feld
