The Rotary Club of Davidson proudly announces the return of Giving Tree Village, set to take place during the Town of Davidson’s Christmas in Davidson, December 4–6, 2025.

Giving Tree Village has grown into one of Davidson’s strongest traditions of community support. Each year, the Village brings together local businesses, nonprofits, and thousands of neighbors in a shared effort to make a tangible impact. More than 60 nonprofit organizations benefit directly, with funds raised supporting everything from healthcare and education to housing, food security, and the arts.

The Rotary Club of Davidson continues to build on the launch of the Davidson Rotary Charitable Fund Inc., a 501(c)(3) that ensures donations go directly to charitable work. Nonprofits participating this year will once again be asked to provide proof of 501(c)(3) status during the application process.For sponsors and donors, this means contributions may qualify as tax-deductible under IRC Section 170.

Why It Matters

Giving Tree Village is more than beautifully and creatively decorated trees. It’s a collaboration that strengthens the fabric of our community:

• Community Unity: Neighbors, businesses, and nonprofits join forces to support causes close to home.
• Visibility for Nonprofits: Local organizations gain a platform to share their mission with 30,000+ visitors.
• Critical Funding: Essential dollars are raised for small nonprofits that rely on community generosity.
• Connections That Last: Partnerships built here often extend well beyond the event weekend.

How It Works

Sixty trees, each representing a nonprofit and in partnership with a local sponsor, join the circle of trees at The Giving Tree Village during Christmas in Davidson. Visitors are invited to walk through, learn about each nonprofit, and cast votes for the causes they want to support. Every vote translates directly into funding for that nonprofit, with additional awards sponsored by Rotary and event sponsors. Voting is available both in person and online at the Giving Tree Village website. https://givingtreevillage.com/.

Become an event sponsor and receive recognition and other benefits or sponsor a nonprofit by becoming a tree sponsor.
