Davidson Branch Library: Homework Help
Oct 15 @ 4:00 p.m.
Davidson Branch Library
Children in K-5th grade are invited to drop in to the library on Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm for Homework Help! Trained Homework Help volunteers provide a welcoming and supportive environment where young learners can:
- Get help completing assignments
- Practice important foundational math and reading skills (such as math facts or reading)
- Explore and get connected to important Library resources, including Tutor.com, a free professional tutoring service that provides 15 free tutoring sessions in any subject each week with a Library card or ONE Access account
Whether your child needs a little extra support, or a focused one-on-one support session, Homework Help is a great way to build confidence and stay on track. Let us partner with you in your child’s learning journey! Note: While our homework help program is intended for student support, it is not a tutoring service. Volunteers provide help and guidance to the best of their ability, but are not certified teachers. Volunteers do not complete assignments for students. Students are called to work 1 on 1 with a trained volunteer for a 20-minute block after completing a short intake form to share your learning support needs.

Dracula; a Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really
Oct 16 @ 6:00 p.m.
Cunningham Theatre
Written by Kate Hamill
Based on the novel by Bram Stoker
Directed by Mark Sutch
Scenic Design by Dolph Orthwein '26
Both terrifying and riotous, Kate Hamill’s imaginative, gender-bending “feminist revenge fantasy” is like no Dracula you’ve ever seen—exploring the nature of predators and reinventing the story as a smart, disquieting, darkly comic drama. Hamill’s signature style and postmodern wit upends this familiar tale of Victorian vampires—driving a stake through the heart of toxic masculinity. Please be advised that this production contains simulated acts of violence onstage and considerable gore. Suitable for ages 14 and up.
