Dewain’s Wood Shop Showcased at Davidson Candle Company

Davidson Candle Company will be hosting Dewain's Wood Shop this Saturday, October 11. Laura Messer, owner of Davidson Candle Company, said, "Dewain's will be in the front of our shop on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon with their beautiful and unique home decor items fashioned from wood. Dewain has been handcrafting lovely wood pieces for over 40 years."

Messer, who strives to showcase local craftspeople and artists in her shop, went on to say, "He is meticulous in his process. And he likes to find local or heirloom woods to work with. You can see his dedication to the craft in every piece he creates in his Davidson wood shop."

Of his work, Dewain said, "I carefully select the woods I use and prefer to find local, or heirloom, woods to work with. I use as much responsibly harvested, natural, wood that I can find. It's important to me to keep our resources thriving!"

Stop by the Davidson Candle Company on Saturday to see the beautiful wood pieces by Dewain. The shop is located along the sidewalk between the Farmers Market and Post Office.
