Davidson Community Foundation Names Ashley Hudler Operations Manager

Ashley Hudler
Davidson Community Foundation (DCF), celebrating its fifth year serving the Davidson community, has named Ashley Hudler Operations Manager. The part-time role is DCF’s first paid staff position.
A Davidson resident, Hudler will support the all-volunteer board, managing administrative functions, connecting with local nonprofit leaders, and overseeing grants awarded by the board. Hudler, a licensed real estate broker, brings expertise in compliance and reporting, project management, as well as technical skills to the position. She also brings a background in community service with other nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, Our Towns Habitat for Humanity, Senior Community Connections, and Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Hudler also holds an MBA from Texas Christian University. According to DCF board co-chair Chris Ahearn, Hudler was selected from a wide range of qualified candidates. “We are delighted to welcome Ashley to DCF. Her skills are closely aligned with our strategic vision and the support our organization needs to take the next steps in furthering our mission to serve Davidson-area residents in need.”
Davidson Community Foundation was founded in 2020 by residents to bolster nonprofit organizations serving the town. Guided by a diverse board of directors, DCF utilizes philanthropic efforts in the community, so funding goes to where it is needed most. The mission of DCF is to improve and enhance the lives of Davidson residents now and in the future in areas such as affordable housing (including critical home repairs); early childhood education; and emergency needs, especially for local senior citizens.
When it was launched, DCF raised nearly $500,000 for emergency needs during Covid (rent, food, etc.), and more than $400,000 to help families purchase eight affordable townhomes in the Parkside Commons development. The organization also supported 15 critical home repairs in West Davidson expected to be completed in early 2026.
