Saturday at the Davidson Candle Company

On Saturday, November 1, Laura Messer, owner of the Davidson Candle Company, will continue her introduction of local artists to the Davidson community.
This Saturday, the featured artist is Devika Santos, who was born in and spent her childhood in India. She was surrounded by artisan-made textiles and Indian Folk Art.
She studied textile design in Philadelphia. After completing her MS degree, she worked with printed textiles for studios in New York City and then with craft communities in India.
Based in Davidson, Devika has built a modern, online marketplace to introduce handmade products to the US and world beyond. You can find her work at her website and on Etsy at PeacewareStore. She also accepts wholesale orders on Faire.
In addition to textiles, Devika creates collages using upcycled packaging and vintage blocks to print. Her work is on display at the Cain center and at INNBO furniture in Cornelius.
She accepts commissions and will do hand block print classes.
For more information, contact Laura Messer at her website. You can find her shop along the sidewalk between the Farmers Market and the Davidson Post Office.
