November News from the Community Garden

by Press Release | Nov 4, 2025

Two volunteers eagerly unbury a treasure of sweet potatoes at the Davidson Community Garden. Two box beds were packed with this delicious nutritious vegetable! These potatoes were just part of the October harvest delivered to the food pantry, along with okra, tomatoes, peppers, pak choy, kale, chard, lettuce, beets, radishes, and turnips.

November 1 was the last volunteer workday of 2025. The first workday in 2026 will be February 28.

Spring & Fall schedule Saturdays: 10:00-11:30 a.m. // Summer schedule: Wednesdays 7:00 p.m.

The Davidson Community Garden is an outreach program of the Davidson United Methodist Church started in 2010. Its mission is to bring people together from the entire community to grow abundant, healthy food to donate to the Nourish Up food pantry at the Ada Jenkins Center.
