Shortly before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night, Mecklenburg County Board of Elections updated the election results to reflect two of two precincts reporting. Iredell County posted the results from the Davidson Pointe community, showing that at least 78 people voted. Unlike the election of 2017, the result from Iredell County did not change the outcome of either the Mayor or Commissioners' contests.

Note: these results do not include absentee or provisional ballots, and election results will not be certified until November 14.

The four incumbent Town Commissioners won re-election and will be joined at the dais by former Commissioner and now Commissioner-elect Connie Wessner. David Lusk, the lone candidate from Davidson Pointe, was not elected.

This election marked the outset of staggered terms for Davidson Commissioners. Based on these results, Autumn Rierson Michael and Tracy Mattison Brandon have been elected to four-year terms, while Steve Justus, Ryan Fay, and Connie Wessner will serve two-year terms. The Mayor will continue to serve a two-year term.

Democratic challenger Charlitta Hatch has won the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board District 1 race, defeating Republican challenger Bill Fountain and incumbent Democrat Melissa Easley.

Support for the transportation sales tax outweighed the opposition. While Davidson voters overwhelmingly supported the ballot measure, with 2,527 voting in favor and 1,141 against, the final tally countywide was more narrow as the screenshot below reflects.
