Town to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Pickleball Courts at Plum Creek Park

The Town of Davidson invites community members to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of three new dedicated pickleball courts on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at Plum Creek Park, located at 18928 Bartlette Creek Drive, Davidson.
The three new courts are the first dedicated pickleball courts in the Town of Davidson and were funded through the Capital Improvement Plan as part of the Phase Three construction of Plum Creek Park. This project continues the Town’s investment in high-quality recreational facilities that promote active lifestyles and community engagement.
In addition to the new pickleball courts, Phase Three included the addition of two new shelters and a bocce ball court, enhancing the park’s amenities and offering more spaces for residents to gather and play.
The development of these courts supports the goals identified in the Board of Commissioners' Strategic Plan of a Healthy, Livable, and Vibrant Community to promote collaborative efforts to create livable spaces and healthy places to enhance quality of life for all residents, and in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update, completed last year, which highlighted a growing community interest and need for dedicated pickleball facilities.
“We’re excited to bring Davidson’s first dedicated pickleball courts to the community,” said Leslie Willis, Parks and Recreation Director. “These new courts reflect our ongoing commitment to expanding recreational opportunities that meet the needs and interests of our residents.”
Community members are encouraged to join Town Officials and staff for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and stay for open play following the event.
