Mark Your Calendar Now for the Town’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Ceremony

Community members are invited to the 2026 Town of Davidson Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center Auditorium at 251 South Street. Program details and additional information will be sent through an official press release and updated on the Town website in the coming weeks.
This year, we are honoring the King Center’s national theme: Mission Possible II: Building Community, Uniting a Nation the Nonviolent Way. Our goal is to unite the community in celebrating Dr. King’s enduring legacy through an inspirational and impactful program held in his honor.
On behalf of the 2026 MLK Planning Committee and the Town of Davidson, we invite you to save the date and join us for a special event honoring the extraordinary legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
