Yes, they talk often…
Celestial poetry
it is
Unheard by
mere mortals

Long ago the conversation
was about one
among them
whose brightness
far exceeded
any expectation

Suddenly the talk
ceased and
there was
cosmic
silence
“Let there be
new light
in the midst
of old darkness”

Words from the Creator
of all stars
And for a moment
in time
stars witnessed the
radiance from
one of their own

In its light all
the heavens beheld
two slight people
holding on
to each other

And then in the
deep silence
the light from
that star
shone on the
face of a child

The Creator seemed
to hum a kind
of tune
in the midst
of the silence,
“Unto them my child
is born”
