The Town of Davidson recently completed its annual implementation update on the Comprehensive Plan, presenting results to the Davidson Board of Commissioners at their February 10, 2026, meeting. New to this year’s effort, the town concurrently launched two interactive online dashboards to display progress on Action Items and Key Metrics.

The plan features 225 Action Items and Key Metrics to guide implementation of the plan. The year 2023 marked the first time Key Metrics were reported; Action Items have been tracked since 2020. To date, the town has completed nearly half of all Action Items (49.5%), with another 34.7% in progress. At more than 84% of all Action Items addressed thus far, this tally represents an appropriate total given the typical 10-year life cycle of a comprehensive plan.

This annual cycle of action, measurement, and assessment comes from the plan’s Decision-Making Framework, which directly links the plan’s stated aims to priorities and initiatives implemented each year and captured in the Board of Commissioners’ Strategic Plan.
