Music at St. Albans Presents Heartland Baroque

Please join us on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m., as Music at St. Alban’s (M@SA) presents Heartland Baroque, a specialized ensemble dedicated to performing 17th and 18th-century music with historical intensity. The group features period instruments like baroque violins, cello, theorbo, guitar, and bassoon.

Heartland Baroque
Heartland Baroque will honor the extraordinary career of Heinrich Schütz (1585–1672), revered as the most influential 17th century German composer in the service of both court and church. Schütz’s music, marked by emotional depth and textual clarity, as well as letters he wrote, reflects his own journey — from the chapels of Dresden to the vibrant musical circles of Venice.
The concert will be preceded by a young artists’ performance at 2:20 p.m., featuring piano students of Kazuko Adachi.
The concert will be available via live streaming. For information about that option and tickets, visit M@SA’s website. This event is made possible, in part, with funding from the ASC and support from WDAV, our media sponsor. News of Davidson is our media partner. M@SA is a 501[c]3 non-profit organization.
All concerts are followed by a meet-the-artists reception.
