Walk & Bike to School Day
This was the scene at a previous Davidson Walk and Bike to School Day.
Davidson students, families, and community members will join together to celebrate Walk and Bike to School Days twice a year, with events taking place on Wednesday, May 6, and Wednesday, October 7 in 2026.
Davidson Police officers and community volunteers will be at key locations around town to support students as they travel to school. For important safety tips, click here.
These events are organized in partnership with the North Carolina Safe Routes to School Program. It seeks to raise awareness for pedestrian safety, environmental conservation, the importance of physical activity, and the Town of Davidson’s commitment to being a walking and bicycle-friendly community.
