Battledecks: An Improv Experience

You know that feeling of being put on the spot in front of a room full of people and somehow finding the words anyway?
That's the Davidson way. And that's exactly what we're celebrating on the evening of May 20.
We're bringing Battledecks: An Improv Experience to the Hurt Hub@Davidson, and we'd love to have you back on campus for it.
Here's how the night unfolds:
Knowledge Hub speaker and improv comedian Amy Quilala opens with four improv-rooted lessons for anyone who thinks, communicates or works with other humans. No experience required, just the same willingness to lean in to what got you through Davidson College in the first place.
Then the whole room warms up together with a low-stakes group improv game. It's the moment a room full of individuals becomes something that actually feels like a community.
And then, Battledecks. Brave volunteers are handed a slide deck they've never seen before and present it live on the spot. Will it be polished? No. Will it be memorable? Absolutely.
Throughout the evening, guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary light bites and beverages, including drinks for those 21 and over. Good food and good company make the whole thing even better.
This is a great event on its own, even better with a group of friends, and genuinely valuable for professional teams looking for something that feels nothing like a typical team-building exercise. The skills you'll take away, including thinking faster under pressure, communicating with clarity and confidence, and building trust through shared experience, are the kind Davidson College alumni tend to put to good use.
Tickets are $25 per person, or just $20 each when three or more register together. Grab yours here and come back to where it all started.
We'll see you on May 20!
