Rotary Club of Davidson to Dedicate Benches to the Town of Davidson

The Rotary Club of Davidson will dedicate two community benches to the Town of Davidson on Tuesday, May 12, at 12:00 p.m. Mayor Knox will represent the Town of Davidson at the dedication ceremony at the Town Green where the benches will be set. The donation of the benches reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to service, community connection, and public spaces that bring people together.
Chartered on December 10, 2010, the Rotary Club of Davidson has spent more than a decade supporting the local community through service projects, partnerships, and charitable initiatives. The club is perhaps best known throughout the region as the sponsor of Giving Tree Village, a beloved annual Christmas tradition in Davidson that brings the community together each holiday season.
“These benches are a meaningful gift to the town we love,” said Club President, Ruth Olson. “We are grateful for the opportunity to continue investing in our community in ways that create connection and belonging.”
The bench dedication is the first of three unique dedications over the coming months. Others include Peace Poles being placed at the Community School of Davidson Upper School and a contribution to the edible forest. Details will be announced soon.
The Rotary Club of Davidson meets on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at noon at the North Harbor Club, located at:
100-D North Harbor Place
Davidson, NC 28036
