Welcome to Summer Reading 2026! From June 1 to August 15, blast off on an unforgettable reading adventure that spans galaxies of imagination, discovery, and creativity. Explore space, science, and stories beyond the stars – every book is a new world waiting for you.

Children and teens (ages 0-18) are welcome to participate and receive prizes from our sponsors at signup, as well as at 25, 50, and 75-day milestones. Visit the Davidson Library to pick up your prize, while supplies last.

Children and teens will use either a paper tracking sheet or the Beanstack app to track their reading. We encourage every participant to read or be read to for 20 minutes per day, but any amount counts! And you choose the book. Along with physical prizes at each milestone, readers who complete at least 50 days will be entered into raffles for larger prizes such as Discovery Place and Charlotte FC tickets.
