Davidson Fiscal Year 2027 Manager’s Recommended Budget Snapshot and Public Hearing
Town Manager Jamie Justice and staff presented the Fiscal Year 2027 Manager's Recommended Budget on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. All materials associated with the proposed budget are available on the Town of Davidson website at www.townofdavidson.org/budget. See below for a snapshot of the proposed budget. The development of a balanced budget is a fundamental responsibility of local governing bodies; the North Carolina General Statutes govern the budget development process.
With this proposed budget, the tax rate is recommended to remain at 26.6 cents per hundred dollars of valuation.
- A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Davidson Town Hall & Community Center Council Chamber.
- Residents are encouraged to email any questions or comments to budget@townofdavidson.org.
In a press release announcing the Manager's recommended budget last week, we inadvertently suggested the local property tax rate for the coming fiscal year had already been set. It has not. Following a public hearing on May 26, the Board will act on the Manager's recommendations at the June 9, 2026, meeting and in so doing, establish the property tax rate for FY2027.
