Rotary Club of Davidson Celebrates Dedication of Community Benches on Davidson Town Green

Rotary Club Members
The Rotary Club of Davidson recently celebrated the successful dedication of two community benches on the Davidson Town Green, marking another milestone in the club’s ongoing commitment to service and community connection.
The benches were officially dedicated during a ceremony attended by members of the Rotary Club of Davidson, Town officials, and community supporters. Mayor Rusty Knox represented the Town of Davidson and joined Rotary members in recognizing the importance of creating welcoming public spaces where residents and visitors can gather, rest, and connect.

“The benches are a simple addition, but they represent something much larger,” said Rotary Club of Davidson President Ruth Olson. “They reflect our commitment to building community and investing in places that bring people together.”
The bench project is the first of three community enhancement initiatives the Rotary Club of Davidson is sponsoring this year. Blake Hunt, Rotary Club of Davidson Foundation Chair, announced upcoming projects which include the installation of Peace Poles at the Community School of Davidson Upper School and a contribution to the Davidson Edible Forest.
Chartered in 2010, the Rotary Club of Davidson has supported the community through service projects, charitable giving, and partnerships that strengthen the Lake Norman region. The club is perhaps best known as the sponsor of Giving Tree Village, a cherished holiday tradition that has become a centerpiece of the Davidson Christmas season.
The Rotary Club of Davidson meets on the first, second, and third Tuesdays of each month at noon at North Harbor Club, 100-D North Harbor Place in Davidson. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
