Rain showers are easing our drought anxiety and justifying June days spent curled up on the couch. To that end, add a couple of these highly anticipated new books to your cart. We'll put them on the hold shelf for you.

When you come to pick them up, you can grab a Summer Reading Bingo card and ogle our new Pride Month window. Or double up your trips and join us for Story Time (Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.) or the picture book signing with Andy Amendola, author of ABCs of NASCAR Racing and founder of Red Racer Books (Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.).

Speaking of pride, I made a list of LGBTQ+ reading recommendations for you. My adult list features homegrown romance author, Eddie Schmitt's The Open Era which is also perfect for tennis tourney season. My youth pride list features When You're Brave Enough, a middle school novel about friendship, first crushes, and coming out.

If you're participating in your Davidson College reunion this weekend, maybe I'll see you on campus. I'm celebrating my 25th!
