A member of the club for the past eight years, Ruth has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and the Rotary spirit. Throughout her membership, she has stepped forward time and again to support the club's mission, whether planning events associated with Davidson's beloved Giving Tree Village, serving as Club President, or taking on additional leadership responsibilities whenever needed.

Most recently, Ruth graciously stepped back into the role of Club President following the relocation of Cheryl Collado, providing steady leadership and ensuring the continued success of the club's programs and initiatives.

"Ruth embodies the very best of Rotary," said one member of the Rotary Club of Davidson. "Her willingness to serve, positive attitude, and dedication to our community have made a lasting impact on both our club and the people we serve."

The Distinguished Rotarian award recognizes a member whose service and leadership exemplify Rotary's motto, “Service Above Self.”

Through her countless contributions and commitment to helping others, Ruth is a deserving recipient of this honor.

The Rotary Club of Davidson extends its sincere gratitude and congratulations to Ruth Olson for her outstanding service and leadership.
