Davidson College rising senior and scholar-athlete Sylvie Jackson joined “Unite to Fight,” a group of Athlete Cancer Survivors. The current group of eight collegiate athletes is slightly more than halfway to their goal of raising $10,000.

Sylvie shared the following:

“Throughout my battle with cancer, the unwavering support I've received has been the number one thing that has gotten me through these past six months. So, in honor of National Cancer Survivors Month, I'm hoping to be that support for other families who are also battling cancer.

I am uniting with a group of athletes and cancer survivors as we share our stories to raise awareness and funds for the HEADstrong foundation. We’ve come together through this Unite to Fight campaign to talk about our own unique journeys with cancer. Funds and awareness raised through this initiative will provide residential, financial, and emotional resources to families affected by cancer.”

Unite to Fight: Athlete Cancer Survivors

We're uniting together alongside the HEADstrong Foundation for National Cancer Survivors Month to raise awareness and funds for families affected by cancer. Thank you for supporting our efforts and being teammates in the fight against cancer with us!

Uniting to support others in their fight against cancer!

In June of 2025, three athletes and cancer survivors came together in support of the HEADstrong Foundation and Attack Cancer initiative through the Unite to Fight: Athlete Cancer Survivors campaign to provide awareness and fundraise for families affected by cancer. Continuing this year, more athlete cancer survivors are coming together to share their stories and keep shedding light on the effects of cancer while giving hope and inspiration to those currently battling. Join us to help us reach our fundraising goal! Proceeds raised will go to the HEADstrong Foundation, which is a charitable 501c3 committed to improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer through financial, residential, and emotional support resources.

The mission of the HEADstrong Foundation is to be relentless in improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer. The HEADstrong Foundation is fulfilling the vision of its founder Nicholas Colleluori. Nick was a student-athlete who while battling his own cancer diagnosis used his platform to help others. His last wish was that others would benefit from his journey.
