What was a planned quick visit to the Town’s website to get some information about an upcoming event turned into a longer visit. As it turned out, the Town’s website has been completely revamped. It is a completely new site. It is a clean, updated look.

The old site had still images that rotated through, which have been replaced by a video. The current video is an aerial video filmed over the North Harbor area and then looking North with I-77 and Lake Norman in view.

While new, there is some consistency.  The site kept the following items on a top banner: “Residents, Town Government, Doing Business, Things to Do, How Do I,” and a search function.

An updated tool bar is located below the video and includes the following links: “Agenda & Minutes, Career Opportunities, Events, Garbage & Recycling, Report a Concern, Staff Directory.” Below that is another navigation opportunity to get to nine places on the site.

The final main section of the new site is entitled “Latest News & Events.” The Latest News is located on the left side of the page, and Events are on the right. There is also a calendar under the Events tab.

Bottom line: don’t take our word for it – take a look at the new site.
