“Seen & Heard” Application for Youth Engagement Programs

by Press Release | Jul 12, 2026

Editor's Note: While this is a national organization, it is recruiting young people ages 15-23, and we hope some young Davidson residents will apply.

The Seen & Heard Action Network believes that young people are not just the future, they are powerful agents of change today!

Seen & Heard is currently recruiting for youth leadership opportunities, including our Ambassador Program and Youth Board of Directors, and want to ensure we reach as many young people as possible across the country who want to apply.

Through these programs, S&H provides the training, connections, and opportunities young people need to advocate for the issues that matter most to them, from education and mental health, to health and safety, to community wellbeing.

Our young leaders must be 15-23 years old and living in the U.S. The programs run from September 1, 2026, to June 1, 2027. We invite you to join us in advancing real change for kids!

Apply for one of two tracks using a single application:
  • Youth Board of Directors (YBOD): Play a key role in shaping our organization's strategy and direction. This governance-level position requires a deeper commitment and includes an end-of-term stipend.
  • Youth Ambassador Program: Share your lived experience and shape our advocacy efforts through committees and policy feedback. This role is flexible, fits your schedule, and is a perfect start to your advocacy journey.

Applications close July 31, 2026. Learn more and apply today!

This application is for BOTH the Youth Board of Directors and Pilot Ambassador Program for the 2026-2027 term through Seen & Heard Action Network. Seen & Heard Action Network is a national non-profit committed to bringing youth voices into decision making spaces so their lived experiences can be considered when creating or changing policy!

Youth voices are often lost in spaces and this is a place to hear YOU! This is a great place to take on leadership and learn life long skills in the realm of advocacy.  Our requirements to apply are that you must live in the United States and be age 15-23!

If you have aspirations to create and implement change for the next generation apply to get started today! We appreciate each and every one of your applications and look forward to hearing all of your story.
