DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Annual LKN Fondo Cycling Event will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, with three rides starting at 7:30 a.m.: 30 miles, 50 miles, and 75 miles. The rides will originate on Lorimer Road near the Town Green and head east out of town on Davidson-Concord Road. Organizers anticipate approximately 500 participants, so please exercise caution when traveling around town.

Davidson Street Closures

Lorimer Road will be closed from the CVS parking lot (127 S. Main Street) to Davidson-Concord Road, beginning Saturday, August 15 at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday, August 16 at 4:00 p.m.

Parking

Participating cyclists are asked to park in the public lots along Jackson Street. Please note: due to Sunday’s church services, available parking Downtown may be limited.

Town Green Activity

Lake Norman Fondo event-related activities will take place on the Davidson Town Green throughout the day on Sunday, August 16.
