Organ at Davidson Season Opens in September

The new season of Organ at Davidson opens on Sunday, September 13 at 3:00 p.m., with Elizabeth Lenti, the Director of Music at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte and Artistic Director of the Charlotte Choir School. The concerts are held in the sanctuary at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, located at 100 North Main Street in Davidson.

Concerts are free and all are welcome.

A native of Rochester, New York, Ms. Lenti is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Before coming to St. Peter's as Assistant Director in 2014, she was Associate Director of Music and Worship at Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio.

In her role at Charlotte Choir School, Ms. Lenti oversees a graded choral program that includes five choirs and serves children and youth from throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area. In addition to yearly domestic tours, she directed the Choir School’s residencies in England at Durham Cathedral in 2019 and at Wells Cathedral in 2023. She has collaborated with Opera Carolina, Central Piedmont Community College, and The Brevard Music Center in providing and training young voices for opera productions and concerts.

In addition to her work as a church musician, Ms. Lenti has served as a member of the organ faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music and is active as a recitalist, having performed on concert series throughout the United States.
