While football and women’s soccer started the weekend with home games on Thursday night, that twin bill is followed up by a bunch of sporting events on campus with a couple big name teams on campus.

Davidson Field Hockey hosts the Georgetown Hoyas at 5:00 p.m. on Carol Grotnes Belk Turf Field Friday night. The ‘Cats versus the Hoyas is typically an annual match up, alternating play between the two schools. The Wildcats have a 9-6 record in play against the Hoyas since 2008. 

And just across campus in John M. Belk Arena, Volleyball opens the Wildcat Classic with a 7:00 p.m. match against Winthrop. Saturday the Wildcats host the #19 UNC Tar Heels at 2:00 p.m. Withrop is scheduled to play Wofford at 4:30 p.m.

Back on Carol Grotnes Belk Turf Field on Sunday at noon, the Wildcats host Towson.

Volleyball wraps up their play in the Wildcat Classic with a match against the Wofford College Terriers at 2:00 p.m.

And if you still need more in-person intercollegiate sports, Men’s Soccer is back in action Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Alumni Stadium. Field Hockey follows that up on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. when they host Appalachian State.
